AdVerit’s Anti Spam Policy
Adverit has a strict anti spam policy. AdVerit actively monitors the uploading or import of email addresses and every email message sent from the system. Any AdVerits’ customer that tries to use the system to send undesired email will be discharged from service at once.
At the end of each message sent by AdVerit there is a link for unsubscribing that enables subscribers that no longer wish to receive emails from a particular list to be withdrawn from it automatically. If a subscriber is withdrawn in this way, he/she will not be entered into the system again, unless he/she so requires through a subscription form.
If you know or suspect of possible violations to AdVerits’ anti spam policy please contact us immediately.
What is Spam?
According to the spamhaus.org’s definition, spam is the name given to any email that is both massive and undesired.
Undesired means that the person who receives it has not granted his/her permission for the email to be sent to him/her. Massive means that the message is sent as a part of a large number of messages that have an almost identical content.
A message is spam if it complies with both conditions simultaneously: the first contact with a customer may be not required but not massive, so it wouldn’t be considered spam. A newsletter or electronic bulletin for subscribers that want to receive them is a massive email, but it is required, and so it is not spam.
Why isn’t it Convenient to Make Spam?
Spam is not only illegal in many countries, but it can also be counterproductive for the person that generates it. If your company makes spam, your image will be irreversible tarnished, because nobody would trust it any more, and no one would wish to give you his/her personal details so as to receive personalized and pertinent information. Also, you may be penalized by the ISP, added on to email black lists and filtered by webmail services.
Only email marketing based on permits, allows for beneficial and long lasting relationships with your customers.
How does Adverit Prevent the Sending of Spam?
AdVerit is an email marketing tool based on permission, and it complies with strict permit rules:
- Agreement:
By registering as a new customer on the AdVerit system you agree to its terms and conditions, and with its privacy policy. When you accept such Agreement you agree that you will not sell nor rent the email addresses that you may collect when using the system, and that you will not use these addresses to send undesired email messages. - Notification Email:
AdVerit sends a notice via email to all the subscribers that are added to the lists. This message also provides an email address to which subscribers can send complaints if they have been added to the list without their consent. The welcoming to the lists notice can be customized and can only be omitted in case of import lists proven legitimate from other systems. - Unsubscription:
At the end of each message there is a link for automatic unsubscription. - Real Contact Information:
Every message that you send through the system contains your email address, so that all recipients know who is really sending them.
- Have you sent or tried to send emails to email addresses that you rented or bought?
- Have you decided to add your entire contact list (i.e. friends, suppliers, customers) to a massive delivery system, without obtaining their permission?
- Are you sending emails to unspecific addresses such as: sales@domain.com, webmaster@domain.com, info@domain.com, etc.?
- Are you sending emails to distribution lists that then indirectly send to subscribers?
- Does the subject of your emails has false or misleading information?
- Do your mass emails lack a safe mechanism for unsubscribing?
